Confidence in Color

Blog Post by Swalonda McCain

Confidence, do we build it as some say? Do we learn it? Where does it come from, this confidence. Is it taught or are we born with it?

Confidence:  comes from the Latin fidere "to trust" In oneself.
a feeling of self-assurance arising from one's appreciation of one's own abilities or qualities.

Few are born with it, others are taught and have to work hard at gaining and maintaining it. Advice to those who need to gain and maintain it would be, learn to love yourself from the inside out.

Colors are for people, not specific genders. Depending on what you wear colors have been shown to effect our mood. We are a rainbow coalition of cultures. No one can tell you what colors to wear. If wearing pink makes you feel empowered, then wear and make it look good.

Pink: Very Happy, Warm, Affectionate, Loving, Infatuated, Curious

Take a moment and think about how you're feeling as you start your day. Think about how you want to feel, then go for it. Pull out that pink sweater andtell yourself today I will feel very pink.

Take control of your mood. Don't let your mood control you.
What color makes you feel good?

Resolution Or Not

Blog Post by Swalonda McCain

A New Year's resolution is a tradition, most common in which a person resolves to change an undesired trait or behavior.
New years resolutions are good to have because it sets you up for a positive outlook for the coming new year, but it also brings unnecessary pressure to a person's life if the resolution is unkept.
So here's some advice, instead of a resolution how about a promise to try and make life changes slowly and steadily. Don't be afraid to ask for help or assistance and most importantly live each day to the fullest. A new year full of life goals and happiness. Happy New Year 2017.
